How does the business operate on a daily basis?
The operational aspects of the store are all run by the four staff members, with the financial and administrative aspects run by the owner. Staff are comfortable and competent with all client facing aspects including parcel tracking, printing, payments etc. In addition, the staff monitor stock levels and place their orders with the seller to procure. Approximately 60% of the revenues are from courier services with additional growth possible through targeting corporate customers.
How are the clients attracted to the business?
Small scale marketing efforts such as fridge magnets, calendars & fliers (each franchisee gets 5000 fliers from the franchisor per year included in franchise fees).
Does the business have any contract work?
There is a very small debtors book of account customers.
What competition exists?
Largely other Postnet branches. There are other print services, but do not compete with the full range of services.
What are the seasonal trends?
School holidays are generally quieter.
