Fully describe the business's activities?
The business offers private tutoring services to primary school, high school and university students that are located in the Stellenbosch, Potchefstroom and Port Elizabeth areas, with similar entities registered for Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban, Bloemfontein and Cape Town. Tutoring is given at the student's place of residence to allow students to study in the comfort of their own home.

How long has the business been established?
The business was established by the owner in 2015.

How does the business operate on a daily basis?
The business is managed from home by the seller who matches tutors with student requirements received via their website, email and/or telephone. They have a pool of registered tutors. Invoicing is done weekly. Payment is done by EFT or online through SnapScan.

How are the clients attracted to the business?
Website, social media, notices at schools and universities.

What competition exists?
There are various businesses offering tutoring either online or private tutoring at home, but the market is huge and growing as parents go to great lengths to assist their children achieving at school and university.

What are the seasonal trends?
The business remains quite stable all year round. Students require assistance preparing for tests and/or exams during school- and university terms, and holidays offer the opportunity for extra classes in difficult subjects.

Strengths?
• Although still ‘young’, the business runs smoothly and has grown rapidly • Easy to run • Work from home – freedom of movement • Profitable • Infinite market • Private tutoring a growing demand • Huge growth potential - Infrastructure set up in other large centres, just needs to be activated • Established pool of tutors

Weaknesses?
Although the infrastructure is in place, a new owner will have to invest substantial time and effort to activate/establish the business' services in the remaining large centres nationwide.

Opportunities?
The SA educational system is lacking, and private tutoring is in huge demand by parents wishing to help their children. Turnover and profits will improve substantially and rapidly once the remaining web entities are activated.

Threats?
The only limiting factor in my personal opinion will be a lack of comprehension of the size of the market and the opportunities this business offer.

What is the reason for the sale?
The owner has completed her studies and has accepted a corporate position which does not allow her enough time to focus on the business.

Why is this a good business?
The business offers a great opportunity for an entrepreneur who wishes to build on the foundation of a small business that has the potential to grow into a substantial enterprise.

What is the price plus stock and the net profit?
Asking price R199,000.
