Queries and quotes are dealt with, jobs scheduled, NRCS inspections and reports dealt with, custom's clearance instructions/Freight forwarders are dealt with, vehicles are logged and converted in the workshop, Natis Certificates for each conversion are issued, normal administrative tasks e.g. invoicing, bookkeeping, etc.
How are the clients attracted to the business?
They have referrals and return business from dealerships. Word of mouth. Website (currently being upgraded)
What Advertising/Marketing is carried out?
Very little advertising/marketing is carried out. Stickers with contact details are displayed on all vehicles that leave the workshop.
Does the business have any contract work?
They have done all conversions of vehicles for the City of Cape Town Dial-a-Ride for disabled persons for the past three years. They also maintain the wheelchair lifts. The after sales services market has improved substantially over the years.
What competition exists?
Competition is limited since there are formidable barriers to entry.
